Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the final G20 press-conference that the use of chemical weapons in Syria is a provocation perpetrated by militants. The mission was to get outside actors embroiled into the conflict as soon as possible because the armed gangs were in the process of suffering a defeat wherever the combat actions were raging.

At present there are two things purposefully mixed up as the issue of the August 21 hypothetical chemical attack is being scrutinized: 1) the hullabaloo raised to confuse public and 2) the fact the chemical weapons are part of Syrian army’s inventory.

It’s an open secret there were no chemical or any other weapons of mass destruction (WMD) in Iraq. Why? It’s a well-known fact that chemical weapons have been used against Kurds. It all depends on the way Western media outlets conduct information warfare operations. One of the tricks used is indicating chemical weapons storage sites containing no such weapons or proposing to consider as chemical weapons what in reality is not. Or calling for unleashing another war and getting the Nobel Peace Prize at the very same time.

There were times the regime of Saddam Hussein was vigorously supported by the United States getting Iraq entangled into the war against Iran. The death toll was over a million. The establishment of close ties between Saddam Hussein and US defense corporations, the very same that got hold of the Iraqi “oil pie” thanks to former President Bush Jr., goes back to the beginning of the 1980s. Those days Bush Sr., who was the director of the Central Intelligence Agency, delivered arms to Saddam to wage war against Iran, including chemical and biological weapons. Long before the Persian Gulf War started, US Senator John McGuire had made public the information on US delivering rabbit-fever, anthrax and encephalitis from Rockville (Maryland) chemical Laboratory to Iraq. Besides, thanks to adroitness of 50 specially selected scholars, Iraq could produce its own biological weapons. The United States, France, Great Britain, Germany and China supplied Iraq with the most modern weapons simultaneously deleting this country from the list of “terrorist states” and granting it most lavish loans.

The Syria’s WMD program is not a secret too. It was launched in the 1970s using local minerals, using the facilities situated near Damascus, in the cities of Homs, Hama and al-Safira (Khalib) in close cooperation with Western, mainly German and French, companies using double purpose technology for the purpose. Those who advocate launching an action against Syria today know it well. They are afraid of chemical attacks, but not the ones launched by government forces, the probability they raise ballyhoo about globally today, but rather by armed gangs which may get hold of the chemical weapons after the Americans topple the legal government. That’s what all Western media is keeping mum about; its media outlets ignore the role of provocateurs in the ranks of Islamists fighting under the banner of global jihad. The entourage and generals betrayed and sold out Saddam Hussein allowing Americans take the Iraqi weapons of mass destruction under their control long before the aggression was launched. Talking to the Defense Review (edition May 19, 2003), then Commander of Central Command General Tommy Franks bragged about the fact that US army special operations teams infiltrated the territory of Iraq to bribe Iraqi generals into refusal to fight and sign agreements to work for Americans.

Unlike the Iraqi military back then, the Syrian army is firmly committed to stand up and fight for the government. That’s why there is a high probability that the tide may turn against Western aggressors, for instance, if a US-led victory will result in chemical weapons getting into the hands of armed gangs. The American Jews pushing Obama to start the war have all the reasons to be afraid that the weapons will not strike the invaders only, but Israel as well. This is not the time when American Jews are ready to sacrifice Israel. There is no guarantee that the chemical weapons will not get into the hands of uncontrolled armed gangs in case the Syrian leadership is eliminated. That’s why Washington is acting like a swindler screaming “Hold the thief!” It ascribes to Syrian government the crimes perpetrated by CIA-fed militants-provocateurs. It’s a long time since dirty methods of waging wars were adopted by Americans starting from Nagasaki and Hiroshima. The recent examples are coming to mind too, for instance, the former Yugoslavia bombings when depleted uranium- tipped dirty bombs were used.

In the given military and political situation the chemical weapons in the Syrian army’s inventory is an effective means of deterring an aggression. The fate of Syria does not depend on US congressmen doubting the expediency of delivering strikes now or, perhaps, doing it later. Its fate is in the hands of the military and people rallied around the Syrian leadership.
