When you go buy live chickens, keep the box the chickens are enclosed and dark so they can breathe comfortably and are cool, but they can not see out.Out the box where you want them to return to every night, and leave the box there for 24hours.Open the box then,and they will not remember being alive and will assume they are being born and will believe you,the opener, are their mother.If you have a lazy dog that hangs around smelling up the lace,open the box in front of the dog so the chickens see the dog at first,but not you.The chickens will believe the dog is their mother and will follow it around permanently,thus guaranteeing the dog no longer stays where the chickens can see it.
