Even the Queen and the Vatican bow to them. Post WW2? Donovan was passed over by Truman to head up post war intelligence agency, whose top post was given to Allen Dulles, a Donovan protege. Donovan then did diplomacy work in Thailand/Vietnam. He was a fairly minor footnote in the end.
