Because the masses are so dead spiritually that money is always the bottom line. Or… Fear could be the answer. I’m afraid that I’ll lose my job and won’t be able to feed my family. But that circles back to money, too. I remember the day when we prayed to the Most High and trusted in His provision, and provide He did. The cause was more important than the cash.

Some folks have built their empire here on earth, and it would be mighty painful to them to see that empire crumble. What starts out as a righteous cause can get lost after successful endeavors provide a certain level of income and/or noteriety. Being well known and successful enough to live comfortably becomes a deterrent to the noble causes of pure, unadulterated truth and firm justice.
