Thank you,,of course I had to read the whole lecture to get the full context of the verse. Uncanny how well he depicts the beasts in us. And more now than ever as I read his work, it’s seems as he speaks in the language of the higher beings, and I will need to carefully examine the meaning closer. I really liked these two paragraphs at the end of the lecture.

“If we approach spirit-knowledge accompanied by them, ignoring the Guardian of the Threshold’s warning, we encounter the yawning abyss. One cannot pass over it earthbound, nor with fear nor mockery, nor with doubt. One can pass over it by grasping in thought the spirituality of being, by experiencing in feeling the soul of being, by strengthening the activity of being in the will. Then the spirit, the soul and the activity of being give us wings of release from the weight of earth. Then we can cross over the abyss.
The steps of prejudice are threefold and will cast us into the abyss if we fail to acquire courage, fire and creative knowledge. If, however, we do acquire creative knowledge in thinking and we want to activate thinking, if we do not wish to approach the spirit in dreamy lassitude, but receive the spirit with inner heartfelt fire, and when we have the courage to really grasp the spirit as spirit, not merely letting it approach us as a materialistic picture, then will the wings grow which will carry us over the abyss, where every human heart that is honest with itself today desires to go.”

Yes of course, I should have been more specific about what was meant by children.
We are all God’s Children. I am now seeing that when answers come from the higher powers, there is a language barrier. One has to view the communication from their vantage point. How they view us, is the same way that we view our own children. No matter how old our own children are, we always refer to and consider them our children. A Much satisfying contemplation occurred over this message of 4 words once deciphered. So much so it’s to much to detail, however the one realization I would like to impart is this. Remember that feeling of security of your home and parents when you were a very small child that they could fix anything, that no matter what happened they were there to pick you back up, put you back on your feet, dust off your britches, give you that hug, fix that boo boo on your knee? That feeling, knowing came back to me, I now know the same holds true in our celestial family.

“Gender” is a word that was classically used to reference nouns in grammatical analysis (male, female, neuter). In general we don’t have gender in English nouns. The proper word to refer to the sex of men and women is, well, ummm, “sex.” Yes there may be some old cases of the term “female gender” that refer to something more related to feminine traits, but leave it up to the perverts to introduce yet another word-redefinition into our vocabulary in order to confuse and obfuscate (e.g., “gay”). The process started in the early 20th century with the modern sense developing rather late in the 20th century, and now it’s one of those words you are just supposed to know through osmosis even if it is purposefully misused with regularity.
Another insight from my Greek studies: The word for child in Greek is teknon. The gender of teknon is actually neuter. Another interesting little fact is that the word for virgin, parthenos, is actually gender male (but that is related to it’s derivation from the word that referenced the room in which virgins were housed), but outside this, the pattern holds that the noun “father” is gender male, “woman” and “mother” are gender female, etc. But anyway, think about that – even the ancient Greeks knew it wasn’t proper to attach any kind of sexual nature to children, i.e., they didn’t acquire those traits until after they reached their “telos” (they matured). Even with all their unguided morality, they knew that much. God help us if the ancient Greeks rise up in judgement against us for this crap.
