Exodus started early i60s nto new suburbs bcz of deterioration. Kids can graduate from HS and still not be able to read bcz they were passed along, and graduate w/ D-average. Thus why we don’t have decent cities any longer.

Vouchers/Stipends that follow the child, as Trump proposed, make excellent sense. (Career Opportunities for good teachers that don’t require kevlar.?)… On-Line Virtual Ed is a pipe-dream; always was. A computer is a tool, not a live teacher. Kids naturally squirmy as it is, cannot focus well enough. Not a replacement for all textbooks and written exercises either. Kids on debate teams fail to look for the most recent developments on their topic. College grads don’t google-search very well either. Stuck on one-right-answer test thinking.
