Those were some very humorous video’s today.
however it was very hard to make light of the current situation. You see my partner works in a hospital within a critical care respiratory unit. She also has asthma. She came home sick from work on Tuesday and went to her Doc on Thursday. Telling her physician these factors and that there has been some possible Corona cases brought into her unit as they hadn’t a test result returned on them at the time, we are not even sure the patients were tested.
Her Physician told her that with her symptoms she should inquire to the staff if there indeed had been any positive tests in the unit and if so, then she should have the test. When she tried to get an answer to her question from the staff at the unit she works at the hospital they flipped out on her and reprimanded her for asking! Stating that she should know HIPPA laws and know better than to inquire for info on any patients within the hospital then told her to question employee occupational safety department for the information. She called them and they had no answer to give her, they could not confirm nor deny to her if there were any cases at her hospital.
So here we are at Sunday afternoon, still sick in bed, no word from the people she works for, and her anxiety level just can’t be measured because of all the hype and pompous over this virus!
This is a major hospital in our area. they are so discombobulated and confused without any standard plan for the possible virus, it will be the last place I go if I were to get it.
The staff will be given one N-95 mask every thirty days and to be kept in a brown paper bag between shifts and uses, the PPE gear will be reused and kept within the patients room to be with the sleeves pulled inside out. That’s just half of the idiocy that is transpiring there.
The fact is our country was completely unprepared for any type of virus or biological weapon. Hopefully this is just another Flu and we can learn some very valuable lessons from this incident. It’s really not funny! Sorry I can’t be more specific but they are truly assholes and would fire her for talking, if they had any idea who she is.
