Ilhan Omar’s father was high up in Said Barre’s brutal Marxist regime, but managed to flee Somalia when that regime was violently overthrown. Nur Mohammed Omar was a Propaganda Minister and trained the trainers of Barre’s Youth Battalion. He is thought to have participated in some massacres where hundreds of thousands were slaughtered.

In short Ilhan’s daddy is a war criminal. And, he is living in the US illegally. He lied on his immigration intake form claiming to be a victim running from the very regime that he was a high ranking member of.

He should be convicted and deported via the revoking of his citizenship. So, if he was never a citizen then Ilhan isn’t one and neither is her husband or her brother-husband.
