Point of information. I am a doctor. The diagnosis of Alzheimer’s requires an autopsy. Dementia is a diagnosis of living people, who exhibit Alzheimer’s type symptoms. That being said, not all dementia is Alzheimer’s. A lot of it is caused by the lack of thyroid hormones, low testosterone or other types of hormonal imbalances, and one that isn’t so obvious, Vit B12 deficiency (so you see this in vegans).

So for the Democrats to throw around age-related dementia requires an imaging study to see where the brain is absorbing radioactive glucose. Without that study, you can’t throw around either Alzheimer’s or age-related dementia on anyone. If you recall Ronald Reagan – he actually didn’t receive the official diagnosis of Alzheimer’s until he died and they did a post-mortem on him. They can demand that the President get that study, but I doubt it’ll show the characteristic pattern of dementia. From what I’ve seen, the President has more upstairs than just about anyone I know. Now if Hillary Clinton was President, I would demand that she get the imaging study.

The 25th Amendment requires actual incapacitation. Only two presidents that I know met that criteria – Woodrow Wilson and Ronald Reagan. Even FDR, with his polio, was able to function as president because he had all his marbles upstairs, He just couldn’t walk, which I don’t think qualifies as an “inability to be president”.
