Is it not preferable to be aware with your compassion awake to being ignorant with lower passions manipulated?

The reason for I am not sure, maybe to bear witness when the call for judgement comes.
Their quest to be rulers, dominators, profiteers of this world, in trade for their very souls, no deed done is to dastardly, no price to high to pay to accomplish their tasks. No sacrifice to high. I set inside this Gordian knot seeing all these intricate strands knitted together through ages and can only wonder at what drives madmen so. Will this knot ever be untied? It does seem as when one strand is cut two more appear to take its place. I’m still unsure of the message that sent me here, perhaps time and contemplation will reveal the meaning.
