The word free may appeal more to those that want the unbiased truth. If you use the words “truth media”, it automatically makes it sound like it’s one-sided, conservative news. And ones that considers themselves liberal won’t even read it. They’ll call it “divisive rhetoric” or something like that. “Free media” has a more open and comforting “feel” to it. Some people just don’t seem to care about the TRUTH. But in the end, we all want to be FREE!
